Victorian Birthday Tea Party

Our little girl tea parties are all-inclusive: from invitation to take-home party favor, you’ll enjoy the freedom from hassle as da Capo takes care of all the party details.

It all starts upon arrival as each guest tries on hats and dress-up accessories for the perfect one to wear. Followed by pictures and fashion show, age appropriate etiquette lesson, teafare including a teapot cake, bell for the birthday girl to ring for service, game time (for ages 8 and up) and gift time. We even have top hats and vests for that special boy you would like to invite, with special boy party favors.

We will even save you time shopping. Choose something from our gift selection and we will wrap it and have it waiting. And don’t forget the parents of the guests. Parent platters are also available.

Days of Yesteryear 1860s Costumes (ages 8-11) includes: hoop petticoat, skirt, hat and gloves for each guest for the full Victorian experience. $5.00 per child (+tax)

Parent Platter $35.00 (+ tax)

Age Requirement: 5 years old
Minimum: 6 people (including birthday girl) during regular tearoom hours. Minimum of 8 people for after-hours reservation.
Parties last 1 hour and 30 minutes. Two hours allowed if craft activity is included.
Signed contract required on all parties.

Party Details

Appropriate Age

Children over the age of 5 are able to participate in the planned activities and enjoy the tea festivities. Please, no child under 5 should be invited.

Size Of Parties

During regular tearoom hours (10:00am – 4:00pm, Monday - Saturday) a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 15 (including the birthday girl). After-hours parties will require a minimum of 8 participants (including the birthday girl).

Invitations

Printed invitations are addressed and mailed 10 days prior to the party. Invitations will not be sent without a signed contract. The client is responsible for providing an invitation list with complete addresses preferably by email: tealady@daCapoteas.com.

Deposit & Payments

A $50.00 non-refundable deposit is required to hold your reservation. The deposit is due at time of booking and signed contract and will be deducted from the total when paying for the party.

RSVP Policy

The client is responsible for RSVP's as your name and phone number will be included on the invitation. da Capo requires the final count and attending names two days before the tea party for place cards and prep. The final invoice will be based on that count over minimum. Due to the initial up-front cost of setting up the party, da Capo cannot provide a credit or refund for any guest included in the count and does not attend.

Each party includes two party favors for each child:

Gold-rimmed white porcelain tea cup wrapped in tulle and tied with a ribbon.
Porcelain 9-piece tea set wrapped in tulle and tied with a ribbon.
Silk fan and white faux pearls wrapped in tulle and tied with a ribbon.
Porcelain Teapot or Teacup ornament

Heart shaped peanut butter and jelly sandwiches (please check for peanut allergies)
Grapes & cheese cubes
Cookies and muffins
Pink lemonade with sugar cubes or Strawberry Cream Rooibos caffeine-free tea
Birthday Tea Pot Cake - Our 3 dimensional teapot cake is a white cake and pink buttercream icing, decorated in delicate flowers.

Parent Platter

A Parent platter is available for additional $35.00. The platter includes mini sandwiches (chicken salad, ham & cheddar, turkey & swiss), and grapes and cheese cubes. Yield 16 people. If you would like to order a platter for the party you must let the tearoom know at least 10 days prior to the party. Raspberry Peach iced tea is complimentary for all parties.
